The Patterson Family Foundation has opened a Pandemic Response Medical Equipment and Supply Grant for Rural-serving Kansas & Missouri* hospitals and care providers. This funding opportunity is to financially assist with medical equipment or supplies that would improve the safety, care, or comfort of inpatients or staff during this difficult time. Requests may range between $1,000 and $100,000.

Applications will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. CDT on October 20, 2021, or until the allocated program budget is spent.

By submitting an Application, you will represent and warrant that the Application conforms to these Terms and that you understand that the Patterson Family Foundation, in its sole discretion, may disqualify the Application for any reason, including if it determines, that the Application fails to conform to these Terms in any way or otherwise contains unacceptable content as determined by the Patterson Family Foundation, in its sole discretion. Recipient promises to use any grant funds for the specific purpose represented in these Terms.
Finalists considered for an award may be contacted by the Patterson Family Foundation for additional information, including nonprofit documentation and supplier quotes* as part of the review process.
* Applicants should identify the equipment and/or supplies needed, and obtain a recent quote for all items they intend to purchase using award funds.
All Applications will be reviewed, based on the following: feasibility of funding request set forth in Application, extent to which the grant will help support local COVID-19 vaccination efforts or implement innovative solutions to address COVID-19 vaccination barriers and related challenges, and how the grant might help the applicant potentially leverage additional funds.
The Patterson Family Foundation reserves the right not to provide a set amount of grants or to award no grants if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Applications. The Patterson Family Foundation will not reveal the judging or scoring of any Applications. Should the Applicant wish to opt out of the potential sharing of data, the Applicant shall notify the Patterson Family Foundation in writing.
Applicants will be notified of their grant application status via email by an associate of Patterson Family Foundation. Grantees approved for this opportunity will be required to execute and return a Grant Acceptance Letter within five (5) days of date of issuance. If a potential grant recipient does not respond to the initial notification within the time period stated and all required documents are not returned within the specified time period, a grant notification is returned as undeliverable, or a potential grant recipient is not in compliance with these Terms, resulting in forfeiture of any potential grant and, at the Patterson Family Foundation’s discretion, another applicant may be selected.
Upon receipt of the Grant Acceptance Letter, the Patterson Family Foundation will issue payment to the applicant provider. After funds have been received, the grant recipient will be required to submit a letter of receipt within five (5) days of receipt of the payment.
All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the grant recipient. Grant recipients may not substitute, assign, or transfer a grant. All terms and conditions and details of the grant including the grant value and exact number of grants awarded are at the sole discretion of the Patterson Family Foundation. Grants are limited to one (1) per hospital.
By submitting an Application, each applicant agrees to fully and finally release, indemnify, discharge and hold harmless the Patterson Family Foundation and its respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents, counsel, advisors and representatives of the foregoing (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind to persons or property resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from applicant’s Application, applicant’s participation in the Program or any Program-related activity, applicant’s acceptance of or use of the grant and/or Patterson Family Foundation’s use of the rights granted herein.
By applying for the grant, Applicant hereby consents to any use by the Patterson Family Foundation, its staff or advertising agencies, of Applicant’s name as a grant recipient. Applicant also releases the Patterson Family Foundation and any affiliate or agent from any liability incurred in connection with the use of Applicant’s name as a grantee in any reporting or promotional materials.
Released Parties are not responsible for incomplete, lost, late, damaged, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, or undelivered/unreceived Applications, messages, email or mail; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printed or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Program.
