Jill Meyer

Senior Director of Entrepreneurship

Biography

Jill Meyer is an innovative and strategic leader with experience spanning both corporate and entrepreneurial environments. She specializes in building ecosystems, bringing technology startups to market, connecting capital, and advancing research toward commercialization. Known for balancing vision with execution, she fosters innovation while driving measurable outcomes.

Prior to joining Patterson, Jill led the Technology Venture Studio at the UMKC Innovation Center, where she guided the development and launch of initiatives such as Digital Sandbox KC, Whiteboard2Boardroom, ScaleUP! KC, KCInvestED, and Digital Health KC. She also served as a technology commercialization consultant and as the statewide director of innovation for Missouri’s SBDC network, while serving as a judge, speaker and board member for many entrepreneurial initiatives. Drawing on her experience as a business strategist, executive coach, collaborator, and entrepreneur, Jill believes successful ventures are built on meaningful solutions, strong partnerships, and deep customer engagement.

Jill is passionate about helping ideas evolve from concept to product to market and beyond and supporting founders through both innovation and operational execution. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Public Policy Studies from Duke University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Jill lives in Kansas with her family and enjoys exploring, renovating, discovering art, traveling with her children and attempting to grow a green thumb.
